About Spooky Nite
Spooky Nite is an independent buying-guide site about home security camera systems, the cameras and recorders people put around a house, porch, driveway and yard.
We write for homeowners who want to see what happens outside without becoming a tech expert. Our aim is simple: help you pick a kit that covers your house, saves video the way you want and fits the wiring you can manage.
What we cover
Our guides cover camera kits from brands like eufy, Reolink, ANNKE, aosu, Blink, Arlo, Hiseeu and ZOSI. We sort them by recorder type, power source, storage and picture quality.
We also explain the parts that confuse most shoppers. That means NVR and DVR recorders, PoE cable, hard drive size, cloud versus local storage and how long footage lasts.
How we work
We read the specs, the setup details and the maker's own information for every kit we cover. We also look at what owners often report after living with one.
Then we turn it into plain guides, side-by-side comparisons and clear picks. Our How we research page explains the steps.
What we are not
We don't make or sell cameras, and no brand pays us to rank its products. Spooky Nite isn't affiliated with eufy, Reolink, ANNKE, aosu, Blink or any other maker.
We don't claim to have mounted every kit on a house of our own. When we pick something, we say why, based on its specs, its features and owner feedback.
A camera records and sends alerts. We never promise that one will stop a break-in or keep anyone safe.
How the site is paid for
Some links here go to stores like Amazon. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
That never decides which kits we pick. Our affiliate disclosure has the details.
